Denver Broncos starting left tackle Garett Bolles is predicting big things from quarterback Russell Wilson this upcoming season. After a team practice on Thursday, Bolles said that Wilson’s critics will “eat crow” after the 2023 season comes to an end.
“I think people are going to eat crow,” Bolles said. “I think they’re going to be surprised at how good he is. He’s a great quarterback, and he’s going to show it this year.”
Broncos Lineman Sends Warning To The League About Russell Wilson
Wilson was traded to the Broncos from the Seattle Seahawks in a blockbuster trade in March. He is expected to be a major upgrade over Teddy Bridgewater, who started for the Broncos last season.
Bolles is confident that Wilson will be able to lead the Broncos to the playoffs this season.
“I think we’re going to be a playoff team,” Bolles said. “I think we have the talent to do it, and I think Russell is going to be the guy to lead us there.”
The Broncos have a tough schedule this season, but they have the talent to compete with any team in the NFL. If Wilson can stay healthy and play at a high level, the Broncos could be a dark-horse Super Bowl contender.
Here are some of the reasons why Bolles is so confident in Wilson:
- Wilson is a proven winner. He has led the Seahawks to the playoffs eight times in his career, including two Super Bowl appearances.
- Wilson is a dynamic playmaker. He is a threat to throw the ball down the field, and he is also a dangerous runner.
- Wilson has a strong arm. He can make all the throws, and he is not afraid to take chances.
- Wilson is a leader. He is a vocal leader on the field, and he is a positive influence in the locker room.
If Wilson can stay healthy and play at a high level, the Broncos could be a dangerous team in 2023.
