“As the group’s believed decision for north of 20 years, we can hardly trust that the #Lions will take the new field in 2023,” FieldTurf said in an authority proclamation.

The condition of playing surfaces around the NFL has been a significant subject as of late, so it’s nothing unexpected that this news has gotten fans and media individuals talking.

“Intriguing. The Lions supplanted the first Portage Field 2002 counterfeit turf in 2013 and again in 2019, and they purchased a second field around then for establishment at this point,” said Bill Shea of The Athletic.

“I have faith in the review, it was Slitfilm turf that was absolutely known to cause more wounds. I’d be intrigued to understand what sort of turf this is,” said one fan who is confident the change will help players.

“Portage Field was one of six arenas with the dubious cut film turf,” noted CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones.

“The @Lions had been on the much-condemned cut film surface,” added SI’s Albert Breer. “Von Mill operator and Rashan Gary endured season-finishing upper leg tendon wounds on that turf in back-to-back Detroit home games the year before. Great to see groups thinking about this stuff.”

“While the Passage Field turf drew features this previous year, players let me know the training office turf was particularly severe with their bodies,” ringed in Lions beat essayist Kyle Meinke. “Presently the Lions are putting resources into redesigns there, as well. Players will be cheering over this venture.”

The grass is believed by players to be the most secure and generally solid surface to play on based on conditions of restricting or forestalling wounds.

While this isn’t that, ideally, the progressions in Detroit will help.
