Dough puncher Mayfield is set to make a beginning for the Carolina Pumas in their matchup against the Baltimore Ravens this end of the week.
In doing as such, Mayfield will get ready against an old division rival from his experience with the Cleveland Earthy colors.
Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey was asked what it will resemble to play against Mayfield in a Jaguars uniform. The optional star let it out will be somewhat uncommon.
“I figured Dough puncher would be a Brownie forever, so it will be a little unique seeing those tones,” Humphrey said on Wednesday, per the group. “I figured the Lamar [Jackson], Cook thing would be quite a while. In this way, him in the child blue and white, it will be unique.
“Yet, I’m certain he’ll in any case be the very fiery Cook that will … Assuming he tosses one on you, he’ll tell you, so I in all actuality do like that about Pastry specialist. He has a great deal of trust in himself, and I’m certain he’ll be prepared to lead that group.”
Mayfield began the initial five rounds of the time prior to experiencing a high-lower leg sprain and losing his QB1 employment to P.J. Walker. With Walker currently out with a lower leg injury of his own, the previous No. 1 generally pick will recover his beginning position.
In his eight profession begins against Baltimore, Mayfield logged 2,221 yards, 13 scores and nine capture attempts on 58.4 passing.
