Shahjalal University of Science and Technology Shahjalal University Admission 2021 has been published. The admission form can be filled through the admission.sust.edu website. Those who have participated in the GST admission test will be considered eligible to apply in different units.
Shahjalal University Admission 2021-22 | SUST Application Form
Shahjalal University of Science and Technology will not take any separate admission test for the admission of students in the 2020-21 academic years. The student will be admitted based on the GST Admission Test Result Score.
SUST Admission 2021-22
Shahjalal University of Science and Technology Admission Application 2020-21 starts on 21st November at 10 am. The admission form can be filled by 12 midnight on 3rd December 2021.
SUST Number of seats
Shahjalal University of Science and Technology has two units. One is ‘A’ and the other is ‘B’. A-unit is for science and B-unit is for all groups of science, humanities, and commerce. The total number of seats in the A-unit is 985. There are 30 seats for architecture. The total number of seats for the B-unit is 602. The subject-based number of seats can be found in the prospectus.
There are also 100 seats reserved for the children of freedom fighters, 28 for minorities/ethnicities /Harijans-Dalits, 14 for the disabled, 4 for tea workers, 20 for pet quota, and 6 for BKSP quota.
Students participating in the GST Admission Test 2020-21 will be able to participate in the admission process. Students who have passed the HSC or equivalent examination from the science group can apply for both A and B units. Others can only apply to the B unit.
In order to be admitted to a particular department, one has to have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in the HSC or equivalent examination or at least a B-grade in the A-level examination in the relevant subjects.
The minimum total marks in the GST examination and the subject-wise marks to be eligible for admission in SUST will be announced later through the website.
In order to be admitted in the Department of Economics, the student of the Science group has to get at least 40% marks in Mathematics in the GST Admission Test.
For admission in English department, one has to get at least 40% marks in English in GST admission test.
Students participating in the GST Admission Test will have to participate in the Admission Test for General Knowledge in Drawing and Architecture if they want to be admitted to the Architecture Department. The duration of the admission test for 30 marks will be 1 hour. Candidates must get at least 40% marks on that test.
How to Apply for SUST Admission Form
Follow the steps below to apply for admission to Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.
Sign up with GST application ID and mobile number. An OTP will be sent to your mobile number. You need to complete the sign up process with OTP.
Login with user ID and password. You will see your profile. From the dashboard you can apply to the designated unit. Here you can provide quotas and other information.
Application fee has to be paid after applying to any unit.
Admission roll will be sent via SMS after payment of application fee.
SUST Admission Result
A separate merit list will be created for Group-1 and Group-2 of A-Unit. Different merit lists of applicants for the Science, Humanities, and Commerce groups of B-Unit will also be prepared. The merit list and other information related to admission will be published on the notice board and website of the university in due course. Applicants will be able to know the SUST Admission Result from their own profile on the website.
An applicant will have the opportunity to be admitted in only one department subject to having seats on the basis of merit list, subject qualification, and preference.
